WHAT TO EXPECT
Real life sessions are an opportunity to live your everyday life, just as it is, while I follow along and adapt to whatever unfolds, and photograph it. Me and my camera hang out with you throughout your regular daily happenings, vacations, or family events.
The session is not an "extra" thing for you to worry about. It's more like having some extra company during those hours. I will not be a fly on the wall, because in order to make meaningful images I must get to know you and observe with my heart, my brain, my ears, my instincts, and my eyes. But there will be no posing, no "arranging", or staging.
It's about you and your family spending time with together. Being as comfortable as you'll always be with them, while all the things that family life encompass happen. There is no such thing as "best behaviour". As a mother and human being myself, I understand the vulnerability of letting someone peeking into your life. I handle this privilege with all my care, love, and respect. I'm there to SEE YOU.
THE PROCESS
Before the day of the session, I will spend some time talking to you, and hopefully the rest of the family, to get some background and answer any questions you may have.
The day of, wether at your home or on location I will arrive and we will hang out! Real life sessions last 3 or 6 hours, depending on your choice. During that time, I usually document two to three family routines or activities. Kids are unpredictable, and that's kind of the fun of it!, so we can adapt on the go.
After the session ends, it takes 2 to 3 weeks for me to go over the selection process for the images, editing, and getting your gallery ready. We will arrange for one more meeting where you'll get to see your images for the first time, and select your final purchases.
